As a wife and mother I believe family is the most important thing in our lives. As a photographer, what makes this profession so amazing is having the opportunity to watch my client's families grow. Life is a series of chapters that we all experience and I want to be your storyteller.
"How did you meet?"
I love asking this question when I meet a couple for the first time. Weddings are part of this amazing journey in life that is a new beginning. As a photographer I am documenting a day that is truly one of the most beautiful moments in your life. From the buttoning of the dress, to saying "I do", it is an honor to be apart of something so special.
There are so many significant moments that happen during our lives I love documenting them. Whether your turning 9 or 99, the time spent with family and friends is what matters most. As a photographer capturing the warm exchanges between loved ones brings me so much joy, I can't imagine doing anything else.
Whether I am at a women's retreat, a seminar with a keynote speaker or a charity auction, all these events have a common thread, a strong sense of community. I enjoy documenting these types of events very much for this reason. We are definitely better when we come together.
One of my favorite things to do it capture the beauty and essence of women in business. Being a business owner myself I understand the importance of first impressions.
Whether it is creating content for your website or marketing materials, having images that reflect who you are is essential to building a strong and long lasting business.
In 2014 I started volunteering my time to work with Alzheimer's San Diego. Through a program called "Life Stories" I had the opportunity to photograph the patients and their loved ones for a book that would be given to the family as a keepsake. Through a thoughtful interview process, pictures provided by the family and ones that I take of them, it is a beautiful presentation of their lives and a wonderful way for Alzheimer's patients to remember how meaningful their life was and still is today.
This has definitely been the most rewarding experience I have had as a photographer and the value these books have brought to the families is powerful!
